Spot LNG prices rose in both Southwest Europe and Northeast Asia over the last week, as both regions grappled with forecasts of colder weather arid the lingering effects of a seasonal run-up in National Balancing Point (NBP) prices that still sees both LNG assessments at a premium to spot gas in Britain. Northeast Asia spot LNG prices were up 10$ from last week to $9.50 per million Btu, while Southwest Europe jumped 300 to $8.90, narrowing the Asian premium, according to WGI price assessments from Monday for spot cargoes for delivery four to eight weeks out.
