Freeport To Store,Re-export LNG

The Freeport LNG terminal on the US Gulf Coasl filed an application this month with the US Department of Energy(DOE)to export up to 24 billion cubic feet of gas in the form of LNG on a short-term or spot market basis over a two-year period,equivalent to about 250,000 tons per year of LNG.Freeport aims to offer its terminal users the possibility of sending previously imported LNG to international destinations in order to reap higher netbacks than those offered on the US Gulf Coast.
