Northeast Asian prices held at $7.65 per million Btu as the bid/ offer gap remained wide on limited supply and weak demand, feeding, uncertainty over near-term price direction, according to WGI assessments for LNG cargoes for delivery four to eight weeks ahead. Prices in Southwest Europe were unchanged at $6.90, according to WGI. The UK National Balancing Point (NBP) day-ahead price assessed by WGI firmed 12¢ to $7.06/ MMBtu, although April NBP futures dropped 4¢ to $6.86. Netbacks for Mideast sellers were roughly 75¢ higher on Asia than Southwest Europe deliveries, while UK/Belgian netbacks for Mideast sellers lagged Asia by around 80¢.
