Alaska LNG Moves

Exxon Mobil has applied for a license to export up to 20 million tons/yr of LNG globally from its Alaska LNG project, among the developments thought most likely to go ahead in the US (WGI Jul. 16'14). The application is for exports to countries without free trade agreements with the US, a group that includes most top LNG buyers. Alaska LNG is now in the pre-front-end engineering and design phase, which is scheduled for completion in 2016 when a final investment decision is expected to be made.
