Gate LNG May Join Rivals With Re-Exports

With LNG imports in the doldrums, the Gate LNG terminal in Rotterdam may start re-exporting cargoes next year, industry sources say. A combination of weak domestic demand, ample pipeline supplies from Norway, and competition for cargoes from Asia - and more recently South America - means Gate has been running well below its annual capacity of 12 billion cubic meters (10.8 million tons).
