Price Gains Seen in Asia and Atlantic on Nigeria Blockade

Prices in Northeast Asia rose by 200 to $15.60 per million Btu on dwindling Pacific supply, despite thin trading, and by 200 to $11.85 in Southwest Europe, according to WGI assessments for LNG cargoes for delivery four to eight weeks ahead. The UK National Balancing Point (NBP) day-ahead price as assessed by WGI eased 80 to $9.71/MMBtu, while August NBP futures dropped 180 to $9.78. Netbacks for Mideast sellers were around $3.50/MMBtu higher on Asian than on Southwest Europe LNG deliveries, while UK-Belgian netbacks for Mideast sellers lagged Asia by roughly $6.50.
