Gazprom LNG Choice

Gazprom seems more likely to build a new 10 million ton/yr LNG plant in Vladivostok than add a third train at its 10 million ton/yr Sakhalin-2 project. Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak says the state-controlled gas giant has to choose between the two, and Vladivokstok looks a better bet than the 5 million ton/yr Sakhalin expansion. The final decision rests with Gazprom, which missed an end-June deadline for sanctioning the Sakhalin project (WGI Jun.19'13).
