Algeria is dangling unconventional acreage and, possibly, offshore blocks as lures to attract the foreign investors it needs to reverse dechning gas output and help meet export commitments. State Sonatrach and the energy ministry plan investor roadshows in London, Moscow, the Middle East and Asia in the next few months to drum up support for the next licensing round, but at this point it's hard to tell if officials have taken on board the unhappiness over tough fiscal terms that stifled interest in the last three rounds in 2008, 2009 and 2011.
