Qatar Follows Up On Egypt LNG 'Gift'

Qatar said this week it has shipped the second of five LNG cargoes it pledged as a "gift" to Cairo to help ease gas shortages and, despite its condemnation of the Egyptian military government's crackdown on Islamists, is "finalizing measures to provide the remaining shipments promised as a gift to the brotherly Egyptian people." Top Egyptian officials say the third cargo should be shipped later this week and that Qatar has reassured Cairo the last two will be delivered.
