What's Wrong With Snohvit?

Another unexpected shutdown at Snohvit has done nothing to improve the Norwegian liquefaction plant's reputation for unreliability. It came less than four weeks after the facility reopened following three months of maintenance, and was blamed on a technical fault that caused a short circuit in an electrical unit of one of the cooling processors. Operator Statoil says it does not yet know when the plant will reopen.
