Prospects for China's Economic Development

摘要

The period from the end of this century to the beginning of the next century China will experience two shift, one, from extensive mode to intensive mode in economic growth and the other, from planned economy to a socialist market economy. The speed and result of these two shifts will determine whether we can attain the strategic objective of the third stage of reaching the level of moderately developed countries in the middle of the next century, and the position of China in Asia and the world in the 21st century.
