One large dairy farm's successful rebirth after German reunification.A LOT HAS CHANCED in the quarter century since the end of communism in Europe paved the way for reunification of East and West Germany.Agriculture in East Germany was marked by Agricultural Production Cooperatives - known generally by their German acronym LPG - which were large, collective farms formed after the end of World War II. The LPG was no longer a legal form of business following German reunification in 1990, leading to restructuring in the agricultural sector.
