THE INNOVATIONS WERE SMALLER and more incremental at this year's World Dairy Expo, in line with the lack of momentum on United States dairy farms due to high feed and low milk prices. There were several talked-about products. One is a product some Ontario dairy farmers may have seen at Canada's Outdoor Farm Show, but was also popular at World Dairy Expo. "Oh yes," squealed one young woman excited to find the automated teat cleaner at the GEA booth. The teat cleaners eliminate the need for towels andcarrying pre-dip for prepping cows for milking.
