If it were better for our health and for the environment, would you decrease your beef consumption and include more trout in your diet? In this article we estimate and compare water, land and selected other environmental and human health aspects of production and consumption of beef and trout. Our study results suggest that if meat-eaters decreased total beef consumption or substituted beef with trout meat, they could decrease the environmental pressure on water and land resources and enhance their own health.
