MoveOn.org has launched an initiative to support 100 activist groups that are working to ban hydraulic fracturing in their communities. MoveOn has awarded $50,000 to the so-called 'Tracking fighters," along with materials, training, and strategic support, the activist group said in a press release. The initiative seeks to slow down the hydraulic fracturing boom that is anticipated to occur across the U.S. in 2014 and beyond.
