House Extends 50-Cent Alt Fuel Tax Incentive

The U.S. House of Representatives Dec. 9 extended for one year the 50-cent-per-gallon alterna-tive fuel tax credit that includes propane. However, H.R. 4213 did not include the tax credit for the use of propane as a forklift fuel that is currently in place. That credit will no longer be available as of Jan. 1. The action came as House members extended numerous current tax provisions expiring this year, reports the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA).
