In our ongoing series of reports on the mid-range trucks, we look at the Isuzu NPR 400 and rediscover why Isuzu is the premium seller in its class.Having run my fair share of Isuzu trucks over the years, in various fleet sizes, it is always pleasing to go back and look at the development of the product and to see that Isuzu has never lost its purpose. With its early vehicles taking over from the Bedford name, Isuzu took the meaning of fleet reliability into a new realm.While recently driving a test NPR 400, provided by Major Motors, I realized why Isuzu stands out from the crowd. For the owner-operators, there is an underlying sense of product integrity that you feel behind the wheel. And of course all the other qualities that go make a great product.Our test vehicle was fitted with an Osborne Motor Bodies van and, as usual, the body was impeccably finished and well thought out for the intended application.
