From stripping out shopping centres to demolition site work at the new Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre in Perth, it's been a busy year already for Murphy Plant Hire. And the recent purchase of a JCB 525 telescopic materials handler From national distributor Construction Equipment Australia has enabled director Danny Murphy to get through the large workloads. With a lift capacity of 2.5 tonnes and a lift height of 5m, the new addition to Murphy's fleet makes loading easier and reduces the amount of manual labour required. The low height and narrow width also make the machine ideal for getting in and out of enclosed areas or small buildings with restricted access. "I now have two telehandlers in the fleet amongst a range of other machines, and we are finding them very, very versatile,' Murphy said "In our demolition work we use them to strip out shopping centres as we can easily get through the doors of the centres and into small spaces And the turning circle is very good.'
