Schenck Australia, the exclusive local distributor for diversified American manufacturing group Astec Industries, has introduced a new series of heavy-duty percussion crushers with impressive throughput capabilities. Schenck says the Telsmith Silver Bullet Series crushers are able to achieve very high cubic throughputs thanks to the combination of a unique percussion crushing action and a high product/high strength crusher. At the heart of the crusher is the cam and lever action. The cam acts as a wedge between the upper and lower anti-friction thrust bearings, transmitting this force directly to the crusher head. As the cam rotates, the crusher head shaft simultaneously produces a lever action with radial loads distributed evenly through large bronze sleeves. This delivers the most powerful forces to the crushing chamber, maximising percussion crushing.
