A MOTORISED brush has solved the common problem of fine particle waste and achieved greater productivity and enhanced environmental control at a ship-loading facility far a major Australian wood processor and exporter. Neil Kinder, managing director of Victorian-based Kinder & Ca, said unscheduled downtime caused by high volumes of fine particle waste carrying back to the conveyor transfer points was hampering the loading of high grade woodchip for paper production markets in Asia. The company's materials handling system required 24 hours a day operation when filling bulk ships.
