The next generation of civil construction equipment operators in Malaysia will be trained to Australian - and specifically Western Australian -standards under a special training program launched last month. The first batch of 21 trainers from the Malaysian Construction Industry Development Board was in Perth for specialist training. In the parry were six specialists in mining and civil construction, while the others included specialists in crane operation, scaffolding and rigging as well as painting and decorating.
