WA push for battery watering system

The company that supplies a unique single-point battery watering system that is widely used on large forklift fleets in the Eastern States and America is making a concerted push into the Western Australian market. The concept behind the Watermaster system was originally developed in South Africa about 20 years ago for use on large mining machines. It has since been targeted into the forklift battery market, but is yet to take off to any great extent in WA. At the heart of the system is a vent cap that attaches to each cell of the battery and consists of a small bowl and a level sensing tube protruding into the cell. As the electrolyte rises during the watering process, an airlock is created, automatically stopping the flow of the water when it reaches the correct level.
