New packages monitor infrastructure

INTERNATIONAL surveying and machine control giant Trimble has teamed up with engineer Condor Earth Technologies to market new systems to monitor large engineered structures such as dams, bridges, buildings, oil platforms and power facilities as well as the movement of landslides, volcanoes and other natural hazards.The systems offer real-time monitoring with the use of Global Positioning System three-dimensional technology to give scientists, engineers and facility managers warning of potentially hazardous situations.
