WA to gain from railcar work

Western Australian industry is expected to gain 172 million dollars worth of economic activity from the award of the contract to build Perth's new railcar fleet to the joint venture of EDI Rail and Bombardier Transportation (Australia). The 437 million dollars contract signed last month represents one-third of the overall cost of the Perth Urban Rail Development project.
