Site water use under new scrutiny

The clamp down by the Western Australian Government on the use of water at construction sites will increase the bureaucratic and public pressure on all companies to implement more environmentally responsible and effective water-use management programs.After public allegations of water wastage, the government announced the immediate introduction of metered standpipes for industry. Companies using the metered standpipes will pay 73 cents per kilolitre of water used.
