Well, this will be the last column that I shall be writing as the president of the W.A. Owner Drivers Association (Owner Drivers Division of the Transport Forum). After being involved on the committee for the past 21 years and the president for the last 14 years, I have decided not to nominate for the committee again.The association's amalgamation with the Transport Forum WA last year was a very positive move, so I was able to achieve a long-time goal of making sure the owner operators in WA transport and towing industries have a solid voice for the 21st century, one which is recognized by government, industry, unions and the public.
