The use of biodigesters in integrated farming is discussed, including technology development of the floating dome (Indian), the fixed dome (Chinese) and flexible structure biodigesters, advantages of biodigesters, materials required for a low cost plastic biodigester, technology diffusion, installation and maintenance, farmer participation, the effects upon chemical and biological aspects of waste waters, gas production and also problems and recommendations for the future.
