CommScope, Bechtel extend supply agreement for wireless cable products

CommScope, Inc., has extended its supply agreement with Bechtel Corporation through 2003 to supply Bechtel's Telecommunications unit with Cell Reach~R wireless products and other telecommunications cables, a CommScope release said. The products are expected to be used in Bechtel's construction of wireless telecom networks throughout the U.S. and internationally, it said. "CommScope has been selected as a global supplier for Bechtel Telecoms because this agreement can play an important role in reducing costs and ensuring quality and timely delivery for our customers," said Tom Parks, manager of Bechtel's global procurement.
