摘要

It was found that the hot zinc coating process reduces the fatigue strength of rope made from steel wires. Fatigue strength of steel rope is related to many factors such as steel grade, rope construction, type of load and the mechanical properties of wires. Experience has shown that the mechanical properties of wire have the most significant influence on the fatigue strength of wire rope. The fatigue strength of wire depends on the parameters of the drawing process as well as the type of applied protection coatings.
