Urbanisation can bring many benefits, but can also lead to problems such as poor air quality, elevated temperatures and excessive storm water run-off. The inclusion of green spaces and trees can help to mitigate these effects, but they are often difficult to accommodate in crowded cities. Green walls offer a space-saving way to add vegetation to the built environment.
