Practical methods of water-slurry circuits balancing applied in designs of coal preparation plants

The article discusses a balancing method regarding three types of water-slurry circuits, occurring in the country's coal preparation plants. This practical method is applied at the stage of designing of the plants in order to select machines and equipment. In the country's coal preparation plants water-slurry circuits are applied with non-washable slime 0,5 - 0 mm (S-1) in DISA separators, whereas at plants with DISA separators and fine coal jigs water-slurry circuits are used with washing of slimes 0,5 - 0 mm in flotation machines (S-2) or slimes 0,5 - 0,05 mm in spiral separators (Coil washing machines).
