Evolution of undercutting technology in winning of very thick coal seams in Chinese coal mining

Chinese coal mining is the most intensively developing minerals winning industry in the World- established from almost the basis within the course of the latest some tens years. Number of techniques and technologies were adopted in this country the development of which was hindered or limited on other countries or even abandoned. In other legal and economic conditions they can prove suitable. Chinese coal industry and commonly used undercutting system therein in very thick seams was described in the article on the basis of the sources and observation of the author while attending the Workshop of Complex Mechanisation of Coal Mining organised under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
