Erection of spillway radial gates

摘要

Main dam of Omkareshwar contains 23 nos. self-closing Spillway radial gates of size 20.0 m x 18.037 m with hydraulic hoisting system and a gate radius of 21.0 m. The sill elevation is 179.063 m, gate trunnion centerline elevation is 189.0 m and hydraulic hoist trunnion center elevation is 197.409 m. Each radial gate has a structural weight of about 220 MT. Each gate, is designed to operate with two single acting hydraulic hoists of capacity 230 MT each. The power packs with nominal design pressure of 20 N/mm~2 are installed in power pack rooms located at an elevation of 204.00 m.
