Delhi is a mega city growing at a remarkable pace in terms of population and economic activities and requires a well-organized and dependable water services for its citizen. As more and more people are entering Delhi everyday from different states ofIndia, requirement of water is also increasing day by day due to requirement of water by individuals and increasing economic activity. Water availability per person is decreasing and Delhi Jal Board (Agency supplying water to Delhi) is fighting hard to supply sufficient quantity of water to everyone in Delhi. Water problem in Delhi is increasing due to various factors such as population growth, increasing industrial production and other activities, climate change and urbanization. This article seeks tofind out factors responsible for Delhi's water problem and possible solutions which can make sufficient amount of water available for everyone in Delhi 24 x 7 and provide best solution for consumers and an excellent business opportunity for corporate aswell.The article reviews availability of sources of water for Delhi, water supply problems of Delhi, factors responsible for water scarcity, ways to overcome these and ways to generate sufficient revenue to maintain existing supply andfinance all development plans related to water management. It also focuses on use of different techniques and innovative ideas by which water availability can be increased. Focus is on collecting maximum possible rainwater, best possible utilization of water from river, reservoir outside Delhi, groundwater, conversion of wastewater into usable water and management of all waste. Article will also discuss about innovative idea of using ponds inside thousands of parks inside Delhi, which can hold lots of rainwater and arrangement for diverting surplus water from river during monsoon which can help Delhi in many ways. Besides having many positive effects it has potential to end water scarcity in Delhi.With about 65% of water supply in Delhi going to users in non revenue category there is immense scope for generating revenue which can help in upkeep and better management of water in Delhi. The analysis of problem has been done with the help personal experience of author as eyewitness of the events happening in Delhi, study of efforts made by Singapore to successfully overcome water problems faced by that country thus making it a successful role model in management of water resources and bring out some positive points from it which can be helpful in solving water problems related to Delhi. The article concludes with key recommendations for more water availability and efficient management of water supply to achieve dependable and well organized water services for adequate water supply to everyone in Delhi 24 x 7 and how thisopportunity can be transformed into win-win situation both for consumers and managing agency.
