300 MW TURBO-GENERATOR, DONGFANG, CHINA MAKE AT SAGARDIGHI THERMAL POWER PROJECT UNIT -2 ROTOR WINDING REPAIR & OVERHAUL

摘要

Sagardighi Thermal Power Project of West Bengal Power Development Corporation Limited (WBPDCL) has two units of 300 MW each. These units were manufactured and supplied by M/s Dongfang Electric Corporation, China and are in operation for nearly 4 to 5years. In October, 2012, Unit no. 2 reported increase in its excitation current and increased bearing vibrations. However, the unit was kept in operation at reduced load and excitation current, but with increased bearing vibrations. The matter was reported to M/s Eron Services, Haridwar.
