The manufacture of casings in aviation and rocket construction is characterized by the application of different methods of producing permanent joints. At the present time, the components for important applications are produced by spot (projection) and seam resistance welding (RW). The main problems in the RW process are the formation of the joint and the selection of the methods of inspecting the quality of welded joints~(1,2).
