摘要

The MIG/MAG arc-braze welding with copper-based fillers can be successfully used for both the bonding of thin, stainless steel and galvanised plates. Joints of good quality and appearance can be made. The arc-braze welding can be used for the surfacing, and, also for the joining of elements made of difficult to weld steels. This often without the heat treatment which is necessary in the traditional arc welding/surfacing methods. In comparison with the MIG/MAG arc welding, the MIG/ MAG arc-braze welding is characterised by lower levels of supplied heat and. consequently, smaller deformation of the welded elements and also by its limited effect on the structure of the heat affected zone. Because of the high fluidity of the copper-based fillers, the process calls for very precise selection of the working parameters.
