Application of inverter welding machine

It is now more than 20 years since the development of the first direct current (DC) inverter welding machines, with the aim of reducing the size and weight of the transformer, allowing the integration of transformers and welding guns. Since then, power source controllers have increased in capacity and alternating current (AC) and capacitor-type inverter controls have been developed. A quiet generational change is currently under way, with inverter welding machines becoming more highly appraised for their effectiveness in a range of welding and joining techniques including spot welding, projection welding, seam welding and the thermal caulking of electric cables, leading to their taking over from the previous machines. Below is a description of some examples of the applications of inverter welding machines.
