One of the important sections of the moving system of industrial tractors is the seal body of the support roller which is also used as a sliding bearing. Until recently, the bronze wheels were secured to the flanges of the body by pin joints which ensured sufficient reliability of the section but in the conditions of mass production was very time-consuming. The experts of the Promtraktor Company have proposed to replace bronze wheels and by the semi-- rings produced from steel-bronze strip in the form of a thin sheets of 08kp steel (steel 10) with the antifriction bronze layer, percent: 9-11 Pb, 9-11 Sn, 75.35 Cu, and secure them together by projection welding. Technical requirements were proposed for the welded joint satisfying both the technological conditions of further treatment of the flanges and the strength and longevity of the friction sections.
