摘要

The application of laser welding of AD37 alloy makes it possible to produce welded joints with considerably smaller geometrical dimensions of the welded joint in comparison with argon-shielded arc welding. The microstructure of the laser welded joint is fine-disperse, there are almost no changes in the structure in the heat affected zone and this has a beneficial effect on the mechanical properties of the welded joint in the material strengthened by heat treatment. The beginning of softening in the heat affected zone in the laser welding is very small resulting in failure through the welded joint with the strength equal to 0.66 of the strength of the parent metal. The experimental results show the feasibility and advantages of using laser welding for the application of welded structures from AD37 aluminium alloy, in comparison with argon-shielded arc welding.
