摘要

Despite the strong genetic risk factor of the e4 allele of apolipoprotein E (APOE) for late onset of Alzheimer's disease (AD), the underlying mechanism triggering the onset and its impact on illness progression is not fully understood (1). In vivo magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) is a well-established, noninvasive technique that can probe the human biochemistry (2), and it has played a key role in identifying early course biomarkers for AD.
