We missed this car. When it first came out last year, it slipped past us. But this didn't get past one of our readers, who asked if we could review the autobox version of this now varied and adaptable car... The Scenic was one of the first compact Multi Purpose Vehicles (MPVs) on the market, in fact if you talk to anyone at Renault, they'll tell you it was Renault that invented the compact MPV. Talka little longerto them, and they'll even suggest the improvements that should be made to the next version... The advertising blurb also suggests that the new car is there to "maintain Renault's lead in the compact MPV segment in Western Europe". Strange, because I thought the Citroen Xsara Picasso was currently running with that accolade...
