THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ

A man who can build and fly his own aeroplane, design and build a big tractor before they becameavailable off-the-shelf, then build a larger one, and design most of the equipment to go behind it, must surely find building a piggery for 550 sows a doddle. And so it proved. Having flown from Sydney to Oubbo airport to meet our Oz columnist Neil linger, I was greeted with the words, 'You look like a lost Pom'. Neil, as you might guess, speaks exactly as he writes. What you see is what you get. He is forthright, talented, witty, well-read, a pioneer, an engineer and a philosopher. He is also forward-thinking, a dedicated family man, a church-goer, extremely modest, and much sought after by farmers from all over Oz and the United Kingdom, who seek his advice.
