In August, the Newseum in Washington, D.C. was the setting to discuss Africa's energy needs. Hundreds of American business leaders and African heads of state gathered for the first time at the Africa Leaders Summit. American energy businesses often miss opportunities on the African continent because they are unfamiliar with doing business in this region. The African continent, though, needs to boost its infrastructure and has energy needs that U.S. businesses can help shape within that crucial process.
