Ben Marsden is one of our new generation of pig producers. When I first went to see him a couple of years ago he was running 300 sows on his unit at Penistone in South Yorkshire. The first thing I noticed was how immaculate the unit was and how well the pigs looked. Liley Farm is a considerable distance from other pigs, the nearest being at Tue Farming some eight miles away, and all his original stock came from there to start with.
