摘要

An investigation was conducted on the possible beneficial synergistic effects of multiple additives in self-lubricating composites for use in high temperature friction and wear applications. The sliding friction and wear rates of NiAl based self-lubricating composites with different solid lubricant additions (PbO, Ti_3SiC_2-MoS_2, Ti_3SiC_2-WS_2) were obtained from room temperature to 800℃ with a pin-on-disc configuration. Dry sliding wear tests against Si_3N_4 balls (the pin specimens) were run using a constant load of 10 N and a constant speed of 0.2 m/s. The results showed that the composites with Ti_3SiC_2-MoS_2 exhibited excellent self-lubricating and anti-wear properties over a wide temperature range. MoS_2 lubricated better at low temperatures, while Ti_3SiC_2 lubricated better at high temperatures. The Ti_3SiC_2-MoS_2 binary lubricant presented the best synergetic lubricating effect of the three candidate compositions.
