摘要

Since the introduction of CNC-controlled direct-drive systems for industrial applications, linearmotors are used more and more in the domain of machining technologies. Compared withconventional electromechanical drives, linear direct drives are dynamically more powerful, but alsoprovide advantages due to an easy design without wear parts. The linear motor characteristics meetthe requirements of high-speed-cutting on fast machinig-centers, as applications in the machine-toolsdeveloped by different companies show [1-3]. This paper compares the widely used synchronous-and asynchronous motors.
