More thoughts on Yield

There are times when, which ever way you turn, life seems to consist of unscalable brick walls. For many of us the present appears to be one of those times. Some years ago I had a similar feeling while approaching Lough Ree near Athlone in Ireland. Mymap was poor and the roads narrow and virtually un-signposted. The first attempt to find a way out of the maze resulted in a dead end at the Lough. Backtracking to the first cross-road and turning right produced the same resu as did turning left or going straight on. There was no way out and it was getting dark and the petrol was running low. But just as panic and despair mounted to a gibbering crescendo the road went on and on and met a 'main' road; with signposts.
