Marketing research and selling more mushrooms

It was a pity. UK grower attendance at the recent International Mushroom Congress in Miami Beach, Florida, was, to put a good face on it, sparse. It was a pity, because while the weather in the UK was generally cold and miserable, in Florida it was very warm and sunny. It was also a very good conference. Additionally it was a pity because lots of practical ideas on selling more mushrooms were presented. A view I have heard put forward more than once, is that nowadays, producing crops of good qualitymushrooms is not the main problem. Of greater importance is being able to persuade someone to eat more of the mushrooms which are being produced.
