Tolerance of six specialty potato varieties to dimethenamid-p applied preemergence at 0. 1. and 2X rates

Most dimethenamid-p potato tolerance research has been conducted on russet and white-skinned varieties. Specialty potato variety production is increasing in Idaho. The objective of this study therefore was to evaluate the tolerance of one chipping, four red- and one yellow-skinned variety to preemergence dimethenamid-p applied at 0, 1, and 2X standard rates. A replicated field trial was conducted in 2008 at the Aberdeen Research and Extension Center in Aberdeen, ID.
